The magic of 90 minutes

The program revolves around a simple, science-based and powerful notion. For sustainable peak productivity, 90 is the magic number. Here are three examples:

1) By focusing deeply for 90 minutes a day, you'll double your overall productivity, according to research by McKinsey & Company.

As it turns out, even Elon Musk spends most of his time doing tasks that require deep focus. In the program, you’ll transition from spending your entire day on urgent shallow work to using your most productive hours focusing on the critical deep work – without working a minute longer.

2) By getting 90 minutes of deep sleep each night, you’ll multiply your productivity by up to a factor of 2.5, according to a study out of Japan.

Great sleep is not only the foundation of our performance in all endeavors, but also of our mental and physical health, says Stanford’s Prof. Andrew Huberman. In the program, you’ll go from spending your whole night in shallow sleep to getting plenty of deep sleep, the most restorative sleep stage – without sleeping a minute longer.

3) By turning off the stress response at least every 90 minutes, you’ll learn to harness the performance-enhancing effects of acute stress. According to research out of Germany, this leads to another doubling of productivity.

While acute stress is the good sort of stress, chronic stress is the bad sort. In the program, you'll learn to avoid chronic stress by putting your inner brakes on it. These brakes are your “parasympathetic nervous system”, or calmness system.
